Mariano Urquiola

Mariano is head of Santander CIB Argentina.
With an international career spanning over more than 25 years in banking, Mariano has spent a large portion of his career in NY, where he worked for several international financial institutions as well as for Cargill. He joined Santander US in 2011 and relocated to Buenos Aires in 2018 where he held several roles, the most recent as head of Banking & Corporate Finance Argentina for the last three years.

Mencía Bobo

Mencía Bobo is the Global Head of Global Transaction Banking at Santander CIB.
With more than 20 years’ experience in the financial sector, Mencia has held several senior positions in Global Debt Finance (GDF), Structured Finance Risks, and Global Transaction Banking (GTB) since she joined Santander Corporate & Investment Banking in 2006.
Since March 2024, Mencia has been appointed global head of Global Transaction Banking (GTB), being responsible for Cash Management, Trade Finance, Working Capital Solutions and Export Finance. Previously she led the Trade & Working Capital Solutions team globally within GTB, where she consolidated Santander’s global leadership position in Trade Finance.
Prior to joining Grupo Santander Mencia worked at KPMG as senior auditor.
She holds a degree in Business Administration from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE) and an international Executive Programme from INSEAD (Inter-Alpha Banking).

Mike Bagguley

Mike Bagguley is global head of Markets for the Santander Corporate and Investment Banking (Santander CIB) division.
He reports to José M. Linares, Group Senior Executive Vice-President & global head of Santander CIB, and is a member of the SCIB Executive Committee.
Mr. Bagguley spent most of his over 30 year career at Barclays where he held multiple leadership roles within the markets business, leading Macro products, Trading for FX, Commodities, Linear and Options. He was also head of the Markets Business at ABSA Bank, where he was responsible for integrating it and turning it around following Barclays´ acquisition. Most recently, he was Chief Operating Officer of Barclays International and Barclays Investment bank, responsible for technology, operating platforms, risks and controls with a strong focus on improving commercial agility.
Mike Bagguley holds a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Warwick University.

Niels Ackerman

Niels Ackerman is the head of Santander CIB and head of Banking in the Netherlands.
Niels has over 28 years of relevant Investment Banking experience. Prior to joining Santander CIB in 2020 to set up the Amsterdam branch, he spent 12 years with Deutsche Bank in London and Amsterdam with responsibility for the Benelux Corporate Finance and Institutional Client business as well as leadership roles managing EMEA Corporate Banking Coverage and Western Europe Capital Markets & Treasury Solutions. Prior to that Niels worked at Lehman Brothers, UBS Warburg and Merrill Lynch.
Niels has a Master’s degree in Economics from the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam where he was also an assistant teacher in Finance and Investments.

Rafael Noya

Rafael Noya is the Regional head of Santander CIB South America.
Since he joined Santander Brazil in 2007 as Senior Banker in the Corporate and Investment Banking Division, he has held several senior roles. From 2015 to 2017, Rafael was the head of GDF Brazil and more recently, before his appointment in 2020 as Global head of GDF, he was the head of Banking and Special Situations Group. He also served as board member of Santander Leasing Company in Brazil.
Rafael started his career at Citibank, where he worked from 1996 to 2007 in several positions across the firm. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of São Paulo and attended extension leadership courses at Harvard Business School, IMD International, IE Business School and IESE Business School.

Renato Ejnisman

Renato Ejnisman is head of Santander CIB Brazil.
With a career of more than 22 years in Banking, Renato worked at Bank of America and later at Banco Bradesco, where he spent the last 15 years in multiple roles, including Head of Investment Bank, leading its transformation to a top 3 player in Brazil. Additionally, he ran Corporate Banking for middle markets companies, Bradesco Asset Management and Private & Wealth Management.
